CST Research Projects

Through grant funding at the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), a community-based CST group was led by a trained occupational therapist to evaluate the effectiveness of CST implementation in an Ontario healthcare setting. Satisfaction and feasibility surveys were completed, as well as qualitative information collected through semi-structured focus groups to elicit CST participants' experience and feedback on implementation.  

CST Provision

CST will be incorporated into the specialized geriatric services department at North York General. as funding permits, by trained healthcare professionals including occupational therapists and rehabilitation therapy assistants. Applications for ongoing grants and student placements have been made for longevity of CST offering in an outpatient clinic setting to further explore the role of CST in providing integrated dementia care in an Ontario healthcare setting.
