CRUISSE

CRUISSE - Challenging Radical Uncertainty in Science, Society and the Environment is a RCUK-funded Network, based at UCL with David Tuckett as the PI and Leonard Smith of LSE at CI. CRUISSE aims to bring academics from disciplines in mathematical, physical, psychological, social and other sciences together to better understand and help practitioners who are making difficult decisions. Specifically, the idea is to work with "real-world" decision-makers to understand the nature of the uncertainties they are dealing with and to develop codes of practice for resilient decision-making in such situations. Partners include the Bank of England, the Financial Conduct Authority, the START humanitarian network, National Health England, the Cabinet Office, BP, Lloyds of London, DSTL, Natural England and the National Flood Forum.
