Four Research Fellow/Research Assistant Positions Available at DCAL

We are delighted to announce that DCAL has 4 new research posts available!

Reading Development
We are looking for 2 researchers to work on projects examining reading development in deaf children. Both roles will explore the relationships between language skills, both BSL and English, and reading development.
- One project focuses on young children aged 4 to 7 years. This position is advertised at the Post-Doctoral Research Fellow level. For more info, click here: Research Fellow - Reading Development
- The second project focuses on older children aged 8 to 11 years. This position is advertised at both the Research Assistant (pre-PhD) and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow levels. For more info, click here: Research Assistant/Research Fellow- Language and Reading

Neural Basis of Language Processing
We are also looking for two Post-Doctoral Research Fellows to lead projects examining how BSL and English are processed in the brain. These studies will involve using optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) for deaf children and fMRI for deaf adults. For more info, click here: Research Fellow - Neuroimaging of Language Processing
