The workshop

Negotiation is the key to resolving conflicts, achieving desired outcomes, and fostering beneficial relationships. But it is not always easy. Improve your negotiation skills by joining this short online course. Learn key techniques to employ in negotiations.

Topics covered

This course will help you to:

  • Prepare for important negotiations
  • Anticipate how others might behave and what you can do
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Achieve your desired outcomes, while protecting important relationships 
  • Resolve disputes

You will learn interactively, using established frameworks to improve your negotiation. By the end of this course, you will be better equipped to approach the negotiations you face at work and in daily life.

Tutor

Chia Jung Tsay

Dr. Chia-Jung Tsay is the Bruce and Janice Ellig Professor in Management at UW-Madison, an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL, and an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School at Oxford. Her research examines the psychological processes that influence decision making and interpersonal perception. She investigates the role of expertise and nonconscious biases in professional selection and advancement. Having served as a research fellow at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation, Dr. Tsay received a Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour jointly from Harvard Business School and the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, and has taught negotiations at leading institutions including Oxford, Wharton, and Tsinghua. She is a frequently invited speaker at universities, companies, and government entities in Asia, Europe, and North America.
