Susan Michie
Susan Michie is Director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London and a Professor of Health Psychology. She obtained her MPhil in 1978 in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry at London University and her DPhil in Developmental Psychology in 1982 from Oxford University. Susan works with practitioners and policy-makers and holds grants from a number of organisations including the National Institute of Health Research. Susan is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research, the Society of Behavioral Medicine, the European Health Psychology Society and the British Psychological Society. Prof Michie’s research is within the field of health psychology and health services, focusing on the design, delivery and impact of behaviour change interventions. She investigates innovative methods for developing the science of behaviour change interventions and applying behavioural science to interventions.
