Maria Sifaki

Maria Sifaki is a Research Fellow at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. She holds a BSc in Psychology, from the University of Sussex, an MSc in Foundations in Clinical Psychology and Health Services, from Goldsmiths’ College, and an MSc in Psychology of Education, from the UCL, Institute of Education. Her PhD, at the Institute of Education, explores the relationship between fathers’ psychological distress and child emotional, behavioural, and cognitive development, using large-scale, quantitative data. Maria’s role in the Obesity Policy Research Unit (OPRU) involves assisting in projects, including systematic reviews and quantitative analyses, that aim to explore paths to childhood obesity and inform relevant policies.
