myUCL is getting a makeover thanks to student feedback

7 June 2018

UCL Communications and Marketing (CAM) have been working closely with students over recent months to review myUCL, the all student e-newsletter.

New myUCL design

myUCL is read by an average of 14,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students each week, reaching around 35% of the potential student audience. Previous issues of myUCL are available to view on the student news website

The new design

CAM collected feedback from undergraduate and postgraduate students by holding focus groups and running a survey to find out how we could make myUCL more appealing and user-friendly.

The new-look myUCL will have a clearer visual identity and should be easily recognisable as the official UCL student newsletter. The clean and visually impactful design will render differently on desktop and mobile, making it easy to read on all devices.

myUCL will continue to share need-to-know information and to celebrate UCL achievements and successes.

Have your say

The final stage of user testing is taking place on Monday 11 June, and there are limited spaces available for students to get involved. User testing will take 30 minutes, and all testers will receive a £10 Amazon voucher. If you would like to take part, please email Jenny Lister with your availability.

The new and improved myUCL will launch over the summer. Keep an eye on your inbox, and if you have any feedback, please send it on to the Student Communications team
