Men diagnosed with asthma needed for paid study

23 April 2018

Researchers in the UCL School of Pharmacy want to hear people's opinions about pharmacists in asthma care.

Asthma inhalers This study aims to see if pharmacists may be a useful addition to asthma care in the United Kingdom.

Who can take part?

The researchers are looking for:

  • Adults (aged 18+) who identify as male
  • Diagnosed with asthma (and no other lung conditions)
  • With a preventer inhaler (sometimes known as a controller inhaler, brown inhaler, steroid inhaler, or inhaled corticosteroid)
  • Comfortable reading and speaking in English

What will it involve?

The study will consist of two parts.

  1. Telephone interview (30 - 45 minutes): A researcher will call you at a timeslot that is most suitable for you. They will ask you questions and it should feel like an informal chat about your experiences with pharmacists and asthma.
  2. Online survey (2 minutes): After the interview, the researcher will e-mail you a brief online survey with basic questions about you (e.g. your age) and your asthma.

As a thank you, you will receive a £20 Amazon voucher via email. If you want more information, you can download the participant information sheet

How do I sign up?
