Participants needed for a study on falls and walking: earn £10 per hour

The aim of this research is to understand how errors in vision and movement contribute to falls.

Participants wanted for study into the effectiveness of various methods for self-monitoring diet and physical activity behaviours  To do this we will ask you to step to a target as accurately as possible.

The target will be a light on the floor in front of you, located at a comfortable stepping distance.

What would taking part involve?

Taking part in this study will involve one session of 2 hours.​

We will record the position of your body, the forces you exert on the ground and your eye movements whilst you take a step. All techniques used are non-invasive.

Location

The testing session will take place at 33 Queens Square, London, WC1N 3BG on the 5th floor.

Participants will be paid £10 per hour.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if

  • you are OVER 18-years old
  • you DO NOT have any known neurological, sensory, muscular or orthopaedic disorder
  • you DO NOT use glasses or varifocal contact lenses during every-day walking
