Harry Warren (MSc Psychology 2015) launched happywork - a recruitment service that uses personality assessment to match graduate job-seekers with work vacancies - last year and garnered interest from 500 students. This year he hopes to attract and find ideal jobs for 5,000 graduates.

Harry said, "I launched happywork in the summer of 2015 to UCL students through myUCL. Graduate employers were interested in the idea of matchmaking, but not interested in the free personality assessment test that I had adapted for the site.

"So to draw on more robust science and improve the service, we teamed up with an Occupational Psychologist, who had spent four years creating a trusted, scientific method to match the individual profiles of job-seekers with the requirements of potential employers. With this improvement, happywork raised investment, acquired an incredible team and upgraded the user experience for graduates and employers."

Job-seekers who register with happywork are measured for a broad range of personality traits, and then provided with a six-page report on their strengths, motivations and ideal work environment. This report is then used to match the job-seeker with the employer's requirements for a specific available graduate job.

Harry explained, "There's no need to guess which job to apply for after university, anymore. happywork uses your occupational profile to match you to an employer that wants to hire you."

With a new-look and feel website Harry's ambition for the business has sky-rocketed.

He added, "Between 10th June and 1st July, we aim to sign up 5,000 graduate job-seekers, and match all 5,000 candidates to their ideal job by the middle of August."
