Earn £10 by participating in a study on the effects of an asthma inhaler in a healthy sample

21 April 2016

Are you interested in medical research? Do you want to be part of a study that has the potential to help those who suffer from asthma? You will be awarded £10 for your participation.

Asthma inhaler study

Why is the study being conducted?

Nowadays, asthma is a very common disease in Europe - the UK ranks among the countries with the most people suffering from it. In London, around one out of ten people is diagnosed with asthma. Asthma is a chronic, long-term condition that can be managed, but not cured. Developing high quality medication is therefore of particular importance.

What does the study involve?

Our study looks at the taste and effects of an asthma inhaler in a healthy sample. After reading the study information and answering some questions to check inclusion criteria, you will be invited to an appointment at the UCL School of Pharmacy to undertake testing in our lab. This will include completing some questionnaires, measuring your heart rate and breathing rate, and the use of an inhaler once.

Where will the study take place?

The study will last no longer than 90 minutes and you will be awarded £10. It will take place at the UCL School of Pharmacy building, 29-39 Brunswick Square, WC1N 1AX.

If you are interested in taking part, please visit the study webpage.
