Study seeking volunteers with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism

Researchers from UCL's Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology are seeking volunteers with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism.

Participants needed for a study on sensory information and motor functions  

The team is interested in looking at the potential relationship between social, emotional, and cognitive functioning in individuals with Asperger syndrome or high-functioning autism.

What does taking part in the study involve?

The study will involve completing some questionnaires, a short interview, and a series computer tasks that involve responding to shapes and faces. You will not have to do anything unpleasant or painful, and the study does not involve any physical investigations of any type.

Where will the research take place?

The test session will take place in the Psychology Department at UCL.

How long will the study last?

The study will last around 2 hours and 45 minutes and participants will be paid £25 for their time.

How long do I have to participate?

The study will run until Friday 27 March 2015.  Researchers have a total of 25 spaces available. 

Who can participate?

To take part in the study, you should:

  • Study at UCL
  • Have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (Asperger's Syndrome or high functioning Autism)
  • Be fluent in English
  • Be aged 18-35 years old
