Enter our monthly #LoveUCL student photo competition on Instagram in the 2021-22 academic year and be in with a chance to win Amazon vouchers!

Each month from October 2021 to the end of May 2022 you could win a £25 Amazon voucher and have your photo featured on the UCL Instagram account! If you win a monthly competition you will also be in with the chance to win one of three prizes in our Photo of the Year competition in June 2022!
Simply post an original photo of yours showcasing life at UCL to Instagram with the #LoveUCL hashtag between the start of October 2021 and the end of May 2022 to enter.
We're looking for photos which capture the dynamism of life at UCL, contain original and interesting subject matter, and demonstrate strong composition. The photo must be your own work too, not someone else's.
The winner every month and for the Photo of the Year competition will be chosen by a vote by our Instagram followers so make sure you're following us.
The monthly competitions will start and end on these dates:

Photo of the Year Competition
In June 2022 the eight winners of our monthly competitions will be automatically entered into our Photo of the Year competition. We'll ask followers of our @ucl Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram accounts to pick their favourite of the eight photos with the winner taking home a framed copy of their photo and a £100 Amazon voucher, second place receving a £50 Amazon voucher, and third place claiming a £25 Amazon voucher.
So start sharing your photos of life at UCL! We want to see what it's like studying at UCL and living in one of the most exciting cities in the world.

- 2019-20
Pictured here is the winner of our 2019-20 #LoveUCL Instagram 'Photo of the Year' competition - recent @BartlettUCL graduate Runsu Hu (@asteria.ssu) - with her creative shot of the main quad from the Portico (view the full photo here). Out of the nine entries, her photo received 21% of the 1,756 votes cast on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- 2018-19
Pictured here is the winner of our 2018-19 #LoveUCL Instagram 'Photo of the Year' competition - Saif Masood (UCL Mechanical Engineering) with his wonderful shot of the atrium in the new Student Centre taken not long after it opened (view it on our Instagram channel). His photo received 37% of the 1,629 votes cast on Facebook and Instagram.
- 2017-18
After a year of fantastic submissions from UCL students, the winner of our 2017-18 'Photo of the Year' competition was Shattyk Tastemirova (The Bartlett Development Planning Unit), with a great black and white shot looking out from the portico of the UCL’s Wilkins Building.

- 2016-17
With more than 40% of the 1,652 votes cast on Facebook and Instagram, Shamita Yasna (UCL School of Management) is our #loveUCL Instagram competition 2016-17 winner, with a perfectly framed shot taken in the Main Library.
Our second and third-placed runners-up are Isabelle Arusilor (UCL Bartlett School of Architecture), with a fantastic shot of a sunset in the Main Quad, and Mehmet Davrandi (UCL Eastman Dental Institute), with a stunning composition featuring bacteria growth on an agar plate.
"UCL has been an amazing part of my journey and to be able to capture such a moment in a frame gives me so much pleasure," said Shamita. "I only wish I could present more stories like this so others would understand how much this university offers. I've loved every moment of being here."
- 2015-16
Over the course of the 2015-16 academic year, eight images were shortlisted for the chance to be named the overall winner and to receive a £100 Amazon voucher prize.
After an incredibly close vote, Ankit Bhatt (UCL Population Health Sciences) is our #loveUCL Instagram competition 2015-16 winner, polling the most cumulative votes on Facebook and Instagram with a stunning shot taken in the Bloomsbury Theatre - congratulations, Ankit!
- 2014-15
With roughly 30% of the 1,000 votes cast on Facebook and Instagram, Shafiq Azid (Language Sciences MSc) is this year's overall winner with his striking shot of the Grant Museum of Zoology's Micrarium.
