Introducing the UCL Student Support and Wellbeing blog

Following on from the success of the

UCL Student Support and Wellbeing blog ucl.ac.uk/new-students/newsfeed">New Students Newsfeed (a communication platform aimed at new UCL students arriving in September 2016), UCL Student Support and Wellbeing are creating an exciting new Wellbeing platform aimed at all UCL Students.

Managed by the Student Support and Wellbeing team, the SSW blog will allow us to ensure that students are aware of all of the support available at UCL and to provide advice articles and tips on how to take care of their wellbeing alongside their studies.

We will be posting 2-3 articles every week from both staff and student contributors, covering a range of areas to do with health and wellbeing. There are four main sections on this blog (Studies, Mind, Body and Student Life), within which we will be posting articles such as;

· Studies - how to deal with procrastination, how to motivate yourself, how to maintain a good life/study balance, effective planning, tech to help you study etc.

· Mind - looking after your mental wellbeing, support available at UCL, mindfulness, homesickness, coping with change, coping with exams/reading week

· Body - looking after your physical health, healthy student friendly recipes etc.

· Student life - settling in, living in London, living with flatmates, money saving tips and advice with budgeting etc.

...and much more!

Finally, we have a Q&A section, allowing students to let us know if there is a particular topic they would like us to cover. These questions will either be answered individually or answered with an article if we feel it will be beneficial to more students. In this way we hope to ensure that we remain focused on the current issues that our students are facing.
