UCL Outreach Week will highlight some of the innovative work that takes place around UCL, the important role academic departments have to play in outreach work and how the Outreach Office can support departments. The Outreach Office leads on the development and implementation of UCL's UK undergraduate recruitment and widening participation strategies and UCL's Access Agreement.

Sessions will advise on identifying and targeting your audience, engaging young people, long-term engagement projects and widening participation and admissions.
One highlight will be a meet-the-team event with Professor Anthony Smith on Wednesday 7 November at 1pm. The event, which is taking place in the Garden Room and includes a buffet lunch, will give staff an opportunity to find out more about how the Outreach Office can support departments, examples of departmental best practice in outreach and recruitment activities and the development of UCL's Access Agreement and the UK undergraduate recruitment strategy. To RSVP for the event, email Amy Suddards.

Katy Redfern, Associate Head of Outreach and Admissions, commented: "UCL staff and students are involved in a host of exciting and innovative widening participation and recruitment activities.  From Saturday Schools and summer schools to online resources and museums outreach (and everything in between), UCL works with over 20,000 young people each year.  We really hope that Outreach Week will bring a taste of this to the wider UCL community."
