UniForum - a study of UCL's administrative and support service functions

24 June 2015

UCL is taking part in UniForum, a multi-university study of administration and support services.

Quad Starting in July 2015, the UniForum programme will enable UCL to understand exactly how we resource the activities that we carry out in support of research and teaching and enterprise. UniForum will help us to plan for a future provision that will enable us to support the delivery of UCL 2034 both efficiently and effectively.

Run and administered by Cubane Consulting, who have developed the UniForum programme specifically for research-intensive universities, UniForum will bring together information about administrative and support services from all parts of UCL, including activity in central Professional Services, faculties and vice-provosts' offices. Ten other Russell Group universities are participating in the programme, providing valuable opportunities to compare and learn from different approaches.

A small proportion of UCL staff will be approached in the coming weeks to contribute information to the survey describing how we resource our administration and support services. If you are one of these people, I encourage you to provide your full support. A relatively small amount of your time will make an important input to the success of the programme.

A web site is to be set up shortly with further details of the UniForum project. In the meantime, you can email the project team with any questions you may have at uniforum@ucl.ac.uk.
