Transition of the live@UCL email/calendar service to Office 365

3 May 2013

A transition of the live@UCL email/calendar service to Office 365 will take place during a weekend switch-over period, starting on Friday 12 July 2013 after 5pm.

We are busy working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition. Although we anticipate minimal service impact and users will continue to have access to their email/calendar service, we ask for your patience if you happen to encounter issues, such as degraded performance over the transition weekend.

You will see little difference after this change except you will benefit from a larger 25Gb mailbox - compared to the current 10Gb limit. Beyond this, the move to Office 365 offers the opportunity to add additional services in the future but for the time being the service will remain an email/calendaring service known as live@UCL.

Further information about the move to Office 365 will be released over the next few months.

Please note that you will not need to do anything to prepare for this migration. The migration will occur automatically as your live@UCL account is transferred to the new Office 365 platform. You will then be able to use the service exactly as you were before.

If you have any questions please contact the ISD Service Desk.
