The event also marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death and is set to be a highlight of the wider UCL Libraries' exhibition, 'Fair Play and Foul: connecting with Shakespeare at UCL'.

Staff are encouraged to come along and listen to colleagues read poems, stories or passages from their favourite book or play. Organisers have said attendees are more than welcome to take an active part in proceedings by reading aloud their preferred text for a five-minute period.

Sam Duncan (UCL IOE Department of Education, Practice and Society) and Kate Cheney (Convenor of the Main Library Exhibitions) will introduce the session. After the event there will be an opportunity to go to UCL Main Library to visit the main Shakespeare exhibition 'Fair Play and Foul'.
