Clinical Academic pay award 2015-2016

28 April 2015

The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) has advised that consultation has now been concluded between the British Medical Association (BMA), British Dental Association (BDA) and the University and College Union (UCU) on the Clinical Academic Pay Award for 2015-16.

Quad The award is a non-consolidated pay increase of either 1%, or 2%, for employees who are at the top of their pay grade and therefore not subject to either incremental or pay progression in 2015/16. The increase will be applied to pay in the April 2015 payroll.

The 1% award will be applied where clinical staff have reached the top of their scale between 1st April 2014 & 31st March 2015. A 2% award will be applied for those who reached the top of scale prior to 31st March 2014.

The non-consolidated payments will be paid as a non-pensionable allowance and will be paid until 31st March 2016 as part of the 2 year pay deal agreed in early 2014.

There are no changes to the rates of Clinical Excellence Awards, Banding or On-Call payments and Additional Programmed Activities will continue to be based on basic pay excluding this award.
