Jo Strange wins a thoroughly well deserved Provost's Teaching Award

This is a massive achievement as only eight members of staff are commended each year for their outstanding contribution, and Jo is a thoroughly deserving recipient! Well done Jo and keep up the great work!

Jo's story

" I have worked as the Teaching Administrator for Undergraduate Psychology since 2005 and I have always found the role as rewarding as it is challenging. I am responsible for the BSc Psychology, the IBSc Psychology, and the Psychology Affiliate programmes, plus non-Psychology students taking Psychology modules. As UCL is continuously developing and growing, every year brings new developments and requires administrators such as myself to adapt to and embrace these changes. This can be stressful at times, as one never reaches a stage of having "cracked it". However, the fact that providing the best student experience will always be a work in progress means that there is always a new challenge around the corner and it keeps my work interesting! I am very grateful for the support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, in the Faculty of Brain Sciences and in the wider UCL community. Having this constant support network is what has allowed me to achieve this Provost's Teaching Award. I am very pleased that the hard work of Professional Services staff can be recognised in this way, encouraging us to keep up the good work we are all doing.
