UCL Laws debate: To be or not to be - the right to die

UCL Laws is hosting the annual UCL/Bindman Debate on 30 June 2009 from 6-7:30pm.

Bentham House, home of UCL Laws

The motion is: 'To be or not to be: a decision for the individual or the State?'

The panellists will include:

  • Baroness Jane Campbell, leading disability rights campaigner and Commissioner of the Commission  for Equality and Human Rights
  • Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt, MP
  • Sir Ken Macdonald, former Director of Public Prosecutions
  • Sarah Wootton Chief Executive of Dignity in Dying.

Marcel Berlins will take the chair.

The debate will be held in the Cruciform Lecture Theatre 1 from 6pm and will be followed by a drinks reception. All are welcome.
