Inaugural DeNDRoN meeting

18 June 2007

The UCL and Newcastle University-led Dementias and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Network (DeNDRoN) is holding its inaugural conference and networking event on 20 June 2007.

The meeting aims to provide a networking opportunity for those working in the field of neurodegenerative diseases, bring together a wide range of specialists and neurodegenerative disease interests, offer a European perspective on networks and collaborative working and provide an overview of the developing DeNDRoN research portfolio.

DeNDRoN was established in September 2005 as part of the UK Clinical Research Network, with the aim of sharing resources and methodological expertise across a wide range of disabling long-term disorders which are recognised to share many common factors. It builds on the strengths already present in the UK as well as increasing general capacity in the field of dementia and neurodegeneration and covers major diseases including the dementias, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.

The meeting will be held at the Hilton London Metropole, Edgware Road, London, W2 1JU from 9am to 5pm.
