'Airing the Private' conference

UCL Spanish & Latin American Studies is hosting an interdisciplinary postgraduate conference about diary narrative on Saturday 16 June.

The Spanish novelist Laura Freixas will be the keynote speaker. She will also take part in a roundtable discussion including the documentary-maker Monica Rovira and UCL Professor Jason Wilson, amongst others.

Academics from UCL; the School of Oriental & African Studies; Trinity College, Dublin and the University of Oxford will address autobiographical representation, the impact of authorship on identity and the diary of a translator, as well as other subjects.

The conference will be held in South Wing Council Room, Gower Street. Registration will open at 9am, with the conference running from 9.30am-6pm.

Tickets cost £10, to be paid in cash on the morning of the conference. Lunch and coffee is included.
