The importance of AMOC — the main ocean current system in the Atlantic

“We can think about it as this system that's like an ocean conveyor bringing heat to northwest Europe. And we're worried that it might weaken in the future,” said Professor David Thornalley (UCL Geography) on the impact of climate change on AMOC - the crucial Atlantic current.
