Primary-age child constipation rates up 60% in England and Wales

“It’s hidden. People feel very embarrassed about it. People think they’ve done something wrong as a parent and they don’t seek early help,” said Professor Monica Lakhanpaul (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) about children being treated for constipation.
