NHS offers 'improved' stop smoking pill

Research found the drug could prevent 9,500 smoking-related deaths over 5 years. Dr Sarah Jackson (UCL Institute of Epidemiology & Health) said studies into varenicline had “consistently found it to be one of the most effective treatments for helping people to stop smoking”.
