Millions can face horrifying side-effects when they try to stop taking antidepressants, but there is a better way to come off them.

Professor Joanna Moncrieff (UCL Psychiatry) said the side-effects “include neurological symptoms such as ‘brain zaps’, jerks, and tics and, whilst I’ve not personally come across someone developing a stutter, it’s possible”.
