Keir Starmer tells COP29 there will be new 'ambitious' climate target for UK

Professor Jim Watson (UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources) said: “It sounds like a really difficult target, and it will be hard to achieve, but the thing to remember is we’ve already reduced our greenhouse gas emissions by 53% last year, compared to 1990 levels”.
