Women less likely to use walking aids despite greater need for them

Single people over 50 are more likely to need a walking stick than those in a relationship, according to a new study. Analysis of the use of mobility aids such as a stick, cane or wheelchair, found that singletons were more likely to both need an aid, as well as actually use one.
