7,000 steps to happiness? Walkers are less likely to be depressed

“This study can’t tell us whether this would prevent depression. It just shows that people who are less depressed walk more… that might just be because they’re more cheerful and active,” said Professor David Curtis (UCL Biosciences) on a study linking depression and inactivity.
