Parents dread helping children practice their sums as many are dreadful as maths themselves

Dr Laura Outhwaite (IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society) comments in a piece about parents finding it difficult to help children with maths homework and says that parental anxiety ‘can hinder children’s progress in maths and may make them feel anxious about maths too’.
