Gene that increases risk of Alzheimer’s ‘also raises chance of severe Covid’

A new study led by Dr Dervis Salih and Naciye Magusali (UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology) finding that one gene impacts the risk of both Alzheimer's disease and Covid-19 may help explain why coronavirus has been so deadly in care homes throughout the pandemic.
