What’s the difference between what we see and what we perceive?

Human sight doesn’t give an objective picture of the world around us, and “what’s really remarkable is that we didn’t evolve to see that world as what it really is, we evolved to see something else,” says Dr Beau Lotto (UCL Institute of Ophthalmology).
