‘Slums of the future’ may spring from relaxed England planning rules

As empty commercial properties may be repurposed into flats following the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr Ben Clifford (UCL Bartlett School of Planning) warns proper safeguards must be met to avoid the creation of “poor-quality, tiny flats being crammed into commercial buildings."
