An artificial intelligence
(AI) system, which can recommend referrals for over 50 eye diseases as
accurately as experts, has been developed by a team led by Dr Pearse Keane (UCL
Institute of Ophthalmology) in collaboration with DeepMind Health and
Moorfields Eye Hospital.
