Update: Global IT outage and impact on UCL

The global IT outage that affected CloudStrike and Microsoft systems is no longer impacting UCL systems.
You may have seen media reports about a global IT outage that was affecting CloudStrike and Microsoft systems. The issue was caused by a bug in a software update, and affected IT systems worldwide including transport systems and the NHS.
Some of our third-party suppliers were affected, which had an impact on systems including TalentLink, parcel tracking systems within Logistics, and the LogMeIn chat services. The Ridgemount NHS Practice had also been experiencing problems with its booking system.
We are pleased to report that this is no longer the case and all systems should be back up and running as usual.
