The Governing Body of The UCL Academy is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Academy, holding the Co-Principals to account for the educational performance of students and performance of staff, and overseeing the financial performance of the Academy and ensuring its money is well spent. Working closely with its sponsor, University College London, the Governing Body support the work of the school to ensure that each child will fulfil their potential and become a confident and articulate citizen, and that staff are supported to flourish in their careers.

There is now an opportunity for new governors to join us in working on this vision. We want governors to be interested in the broad range of the role, but we would be interested in applications from individuals who have an interest or expertise in admissions, finance or curriculum.

We would welcome applications from those interested in developing into the role of Chair of Governors at the end of the current Chair’s term of office.

.

If you would like to apply, please provide a Curriculum Vitae and a brief statement in support of the application which should be submitted by email to the Clerk to the Governors, Michael Burke by email mburke@uclacademy.orgIf you have any questions about the role, please contact Amy Lightstone, a.lightstone@ucl.ac.uk. The deadline for application is 28 February 2023.
