Reduced access to IOE during graduations, 27 June – 14 July 2022

23 June 2022

From 30 June to 14 July, UCL’s graduation ceremonies will be taking place in Logan Hall, with activity across the main IOE building at 20 Bedford Way. Due to the preparations, the building and access into it will be busier than usual during these times.

27-28 June: preparations

The Level 4 entrance to the 20 Bedford Way building via the concourse on Woburn Square will be busier than usual on 27and 28 June while a marquee is erected in preparation for the graduation ceremonies. Due to planned estate redevelopment work also beginning at IOE from 27 June, the Woburn Square entrance will become the designated access point into the building while a temporary entrance at Bedford Way is put in place. A dedicated access route will be maintained to ensure a safe entranceway for all building users.

30 June – 14 July: Graduation ceremonies

We’re expecting around 25,000 visitors to the Logan Hall over this period as students from across UCL celebrate their achievements with their friends and family.

This will mean that foot traffic around the building will be considerably busier than usual – please do be aware that it may take longer than it normally would to get around, and noise levels will be higher than usual. Consideration should be given to working flexibly, including working from home.

A dedicated access route across the concourse to the Level 4 entrance on Woburn Square will be maintained to ensure a safe entranceway for all building users.
