2021-22 results and awards to be published from Thursday 7 July

3 July 2022

On Thursday 7 July, you will receive your assessment results by email to your UCL email account if you undertook assessment in 2021-22.

Study for exams

Results emails will be sent out in batches throughout the day. Your email may arrive earlier or later than other students in your cohort as it is not possible to send a single communication to all 35,000 students receiving results this year. These emails can be viewed on mobile devices.

Results will also be available to view in Portico from Friday 8 July.

Important

Most students will receive their results on Thursday 7 July, apart from a small number of non-standard programmes, which may be slightly later.

For Postgraduate students, at this point most results are provisional, your results will be finally confirmed following the exam board in the autumn.

Late Summer Assessment (LSA)

If you have failed or deferred an assessment for 2021–22 modules, this information will be detailed in your results email. The LSA exam period will take place from Monday 22 August to Friday 9 September for students that have deferred one or more of their assessments.

If you are taking centrally managed exams in the LSA period, you will receive your exam timetable by email on Monday 25 July.

You may also have other assessments that are being run by your department; they will advise you about these. Everything you need to know to sit a centrally managed LSA is summarised here.

Certificate and transcripts

Final degree documents

Your degree documents will be posted to your home address within four months from the release of your results – please make sure that your home address details are up to date on Portico.

E-Transcript

You can place an order for your free e-transcript via the UCL online store.

An e-transcript is an official electronic document containing a full record of confirmed academic results and can be used for third party verification purposes, for example job applications, applications for further study, visa requirements or third-party verification by a solicitor.

We will only be able to process these from Monday 11 July. Please allow 15 working days to process these orders.

Statement of Award

You will be able to download a Statement of Award letter from Portico from Monday 11 July. This is an official letter that can be used as proof that your award was conferred by UCL.

Student support

Sometimes, exam results do not go as planned. UCL Student Support and Wellbeing is here to support you all the way – please do take a look at their guidance if you find that you have failed an assessment.

If you would like to talk to a wellbeing adviser in confidence, contact Student Support and Wellbeing through askUCL, our online student enquiries system.
