Launching our annual staff survey "My UCL Experience"

23 February 2022

If you're going to complete one survey at UCL this year, please make it this one! After a 4-year hiatus, we return to running an all-staff survey. 'My UCL Experience' will run annually from now on.

Graphic: Welcome to the My UCL Experience survey

We're asking all employees to take 10 minutes to complete 24 questions around themes such as motivation, sense of belonging and trust in leadership.

Your responses will help us to identify areas that need our support, and we will ask local teams to commit to three actions aimed at improving them. We will also commit to three actions to improve scores at an institutional level.

My UCL Experience is an anonymous survey, but we will use some information from staff records to map where (in the organisational hierarchy) responses are coming from across the organisation. This means we will be able to see areas where scores are lower or higher, and we can then try to find out why this might be the case. To protect your anonymity, we won’t be reporting results where there are fewer than ten responses. To be extra sure, please don’t use names or any other identifying information in free-text responses.

You will receive an email from Qlearsite on 7 March with a unique link to the survey – this is not a phishing email.

Please note: The survey will be sent out to all employees who have a UCL contract. This means that it won’t go to agency workers or consultants, to people who are employed by a partner organisation, or to our outsourced members of staff.
