Graduation celebrations on campus – 7–17 March 2022

24 February 2022

From 7–17 March, UCL will be celebrating the achievements of our 2020 and 2021 graduate cohorts, who missed out on an in-person celebration due to the pandemic. Find out what’s happening on campus.

UCL graduating students

From 7-17 March, we’ll be holding graduation celebrations for our 2020 and 2021 cohorts, who held their graduation ceremonies online as pandemic restrictions put a stop to in-person events.

As well as a ceremony at London’s ExCel centre, our graduates have also been invited back to campus to celebrate with their friends, families and teachers, and to take their all-important photos in front of the Portico.

Please note that campus will be busier than usual at these times, with events taking place in all departments. We will be asking all visitors to read and abide by UCL’s COVID-19 safety guidelines

You might also notice some new, temporary additions to the campus:

  • A number of “pop ups” are planned, like treat stands and coffee carts – please do feel free to use these facilities.

  • A “Find Your Future” hub will be set up in the North Cloisters, hosted by the UCL Alumni and Careers teams, and a Students’ Union UCL hub will set up in the South Cloisters. Although these hubs are aimed at our graduates, current students are very welcome to drop by for a chat.

  • Pop-up bars in the Wilkins Terrace and Haldane Room, and the gown drop-off point in the Garden room, are for our graduates only.
