Residential Hall Warden - Job opportunity

21 November 2023

Student Support and Wellbeing is seeking a Residential Hall Warden to be responsible for providing out-of-hours wellbeing support and crisis intervention in UCL halls and houses.

UCL students

Wardens manage and support teams of Student Residence Advisers (SRA) which, in turn, help students to settle into their new life in halls by encouraging a harmonious social atmosphere, maintaining order, and advising students with pastoral issues.

Wardens support their SRAs to organise and host inclusive community building events, and help residents become familiar with the hall and local surroundings.

The post holder must be a full-time member of UCL staff on a permanent contract. They will be required to reside within the Halls of Residence and undertake an enhanced DBS check. A self-contained flat (or equivalent accommodation, appropriate to the needs of the Warden) is offered free of charge for this purpose. For full details, job description and person specification, please see the UCL job portal. Applications close on 27 November 2023.

A review of applications will take place on Monday 27 November with an initial stage interview scheduled for Thursday 30 November (afternoon). We will, however, keep the post open and encourage candidates who cannot meet this deadline to discuss the role informally with us (please see contact details on the job description linked to above).
