In line with Government guidance, some restrictions on campus will be relaxed. This will include restrictions on social distancing and one-way systems – please bear with us while signage is removed from buildings.

Your health and wellbeing are paramount, and we are working hard to make sure all our buildings and spaces are as safe as possible.  We are continuing to follow UK Government guidance, as well as the expertise of our researchers, including specialists in health, education, human behaviour and infection prevention. We are keeping a number of measures to protect you and the wider UCL community on campus.

Unless you are exempt, we expect everyone on campus to wear a face covering in indoor spaces, including in lectures, seminar rooms, study spaces, offices and labs.

Please continue to be respectful and considerate of others while on campus, and look out for people wearing a Sunflower lanyard (for those with invisible disabilities) or taking part in the Please Give Me Space initiative (for those who feel anxious or uncomfortable about social distancing coming to an end). Please continue to abide by the Community Commitment to Protect each other and be considerate to people’s needs.

You’ll still need to book study spaces in the library and wear a face covering in library spaces – find out more on the library website

When you are on campus, please remember:

  • You must stay at home if you feel unwell;
  • You are expected to bring a face covering to wear on campus in indoor spaces;
  • You should get tested for COVID-19 twice a week even if you don’t have symptoms;
  • If you do have symptoms you must self isolate and immediately and order a test from the NHS. You should also report your symptoms via UCL Connect to Protect and NHS Test and Trace – find out more;
  • You are encouraged to get vaccinated for COVID-19 when you are eligible – find out how to get your coronavirus vaccine
  • You should wash your hands frequently. Hand sanitiser is freely available on campus.

The Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW) team are also on hand to offer support. The full list of wellbeing support available to you is on the SSW website, including services for disabled students, mental health support, psychological and counselling services, accessing health care, support for international students and more.
