COVID-19 vaccination and testing over UCL’s winter closure period
21 December 2021
Find out how to get your COVID-19 vaccination and get tested if you’re staying in London over the winter break.
The most important thing you can do to protect yourself and others is to get your COVID-19 vaccination or booster if you can.
The NHS vaccination centre at Bidborough House is open for walk-in appointments, although these may be suspended at very busy times. More details, including Christmas opening hours, are on the UCLH website.
You can find more information on vaccine eligibility and how to book yours at a centre close you you on the NHS website.
All students and staff should get tested for COVID-19 at least twice a week with a free Lateral Flow Test (LFT), and before mixing with people in crowded indoor places, even if you don’t have symptoms.
The LFT testing centre at the Student Centre will be closed over the winter break. From 22 December 2021 until 4 January 2022, you can order a test to be delivered to your home address or collect test kits from:
The ground floor of the Student Centre
Reception in the Roberts Building
Reception in the Engineering Front building
Your hall team if you are staying in UCL Accommodation – please ask at your reception.
From 5 January 2022 a Test Kit Collection Centre will be open on the mezzanine level of the Student Centre building.
If you develop coronavirus symptoms, you must immediately self-isolate and order a PCR test. You should also report your symptoms to UCL’s Connect to Protect tool, and UCL will get in touch to see if you need support while you are self-isolating.
