Share your views and get your questions answered about the recent USS valuation report in a session with Steven Cunningham-Sherret (Head of Pensions, HR), Philip Harding (Former Financial Director), Matthew Blain (Executive Director, HR) and Mark Rice (Head of Reward, HR). This event is taking place on Zoom and is open to all UCL members of staff.

The USS pensions scheme has recently published a valuation report that proposes substantial increases in contributions to maintain benefits at current levels and to address the scheme’s deficit.

They have asked all members of the scheme, such as UCL, to consider these proposals and respond with their views as part of the consultation. We are hosting this Town Hall because we want to hear your views to help inform UCL’s employer response.

At present, we consider that these increases would be unaffordable, both for you and the university. They would have a significant and unacceptable adverse impact on our community and our ability to deliver UCL’s academic mission.
