Additional study spaces open in Ramsay Hall
19 November 2020
Library Services has opened additional study space in Ramsay Hall.
You can now book study space in Ramsay Hall (entrance by Whitfield Street, not far from Tottenham Court Road) through the Library’s online booking system.
103 individual study rooms are available, following UCL Estates work to convert the rooms into study spaces with task chairs and desk lamps. These rooms are ideal if you need space where you can talk without disturbing others, for instance to participate in online lectures, seminars or meetings. Each floor has a printer and there is WiFi throughout.
Level 1 is dedicated to postgraduate research students.
UCL Library Services is committed to delivering an excellent experience for students on campus throughout the academic year 2020-21, and the addition of these 100 rooms in Ramsay Hall complements 200 extra spaces already opened in Bidborough House and 1-19 Torrington Place. Each of our libraries and learning spaces are set up to ensure social distancing, so that you can study safely on campus. There is now a maximum safe capacity of 1227 socially distanced study spaces across UCL.
If you want to book space in any UCL library site or learning space, simply book via the Library webpages. You can book two spaces per day across all locations. We are continually monitoring usage levels, in order to ensure UCL students can access learning spaces whenever they need.
If you are studying on campus, you will need to follow the university’s Keeping Safe guidelines to protect yourself and others. When you arrive at the building, you will also need to check in on arrival through the booking system. More guidance is available on the Library Services webpages.
Please check the Library Services Opening Hours before travelling.
