We run an exciting programme of events and communications to help UCL women learn new skills, hear inspiring career stories and build connections at all levels across UCL. Join us as Astrea Committee Co-Chair by applying for the vacancy, which is now open.

UCL Astrea

Astrea is UCL’s network for women in professional services. We run an exciting programme of events and communications to help UCL women learn new skills, hear inspiring career stories and build connections at all levels across UCL.

We’ve got a busy 12 months ahead – linking with other university networks both in UCL and externally, developing a new events programme and developing our policy work.

As one of our Co-Chairs is standing down from the committee, there’s a vacancy for a new Co-Chair to lead the network. You’ll be joining an energetic group of passionate, creative and collaborative colleagues from across Professional Services. To find out more about the Steering Committee and the network see our website

To apply, please email Joanna Marshall-Cook and Rochelle Rowe-Wiseman by Monday 23 March, telling us why you’re interested and what skills and experience you’d bring to the role.  Do feel free to email us if you have any questions about the role before applying.

What does the role entail?

Being Co-chair of the Astrea committee is a commitment of around one hour a week and typically involves:.

  • Chairing committee meetings (every six weeks)
  • Identifying strategic priorities for Astrea
  • Acting as the public face and ambassador for the network

All our steering committee roles have at least two team members – helping to ensure the Committee can function in a way that fits in with our busy day jobs!
