Share your views on LGBTQ+ inclusivity at UCL

5 September 2019

UCL is preparing for its next submission to the Stonewall Top 100 Workforce Equality Index. Staff have the opportunity to feedback views on UCL to Stonewall directly and anonymously – share yours today.

Is UCL an LGBTQ+ inclusive employer?

Stonewall is the leading Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) rights charity and its index ranks employers’ LGBTQ+ inclusive practice across all sectors.

The Index is one of the best-practice frameworks we use to advance good practice within our community within the context of our legal obligations. Other tools used include Athena SWAN Chartermark, Race Equality Chartermark; and the Disability Standard.

One part of the process is giving staff the opportunity to feedback views on UCL, as an LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace directly to Stonewall.

Professor Anthony Smith, UCL LGBTQ+ Equality Champion, said:

“Talented LGBTQ+ people (and others) across the UK look to the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index to seek employers with a good reputation on equality, diversity and inclusion that they may wish to work for.  We know that a positive reputation in LGBTQ+ equality can be an influential factor for LGBTQ+ students’ university choice too. By participating in the index we can reflect upon the good work we have done and identify what else may need to be done. In one of the most diverse cities in the world, UCL is certainly well placed to be one of the leaders in LGBTQ+ equality – that is certainly our aim.”

Share your views via the Stonewall 2020 Staff Feedback Survey

The questionnaire is open until 1 November. You must use the code 1666 so that the results are attributed to UCL. The survey takes only five minutes to complete, so don't miss this opportunity to have your voice heard!

Thanking you, in advance, for your engagement with this survey.
