Applications for the 2020 UCL Summer School are now open

The 2020 UCL Summer School will run from 29 June–17 July 2020.

The programme is split into two three-week teaching sessions and students have the option of studying for three or six weeks, taking one module per session. Modules are fully approved undergraduate UCL modules, and so students often transfer academic credit back to their home institution.

In 2019, the UCL Summer School enjoyed considerable success – over 700 students representing 52 nationalities and 250 universities enrolled on a variety of modules from across UCL’s faculties. In 2020, the Summer School team are aiming to welcome at least 900 students to UCL.

Drawing on UCL’s academic strengths in a range of subject areas, the UCL Summer School is unique in London in its academic offering. Modules are encouraged to use London as a learning space and many include excursions or field visits in and around the city. Examples of experiential learning opportunities available to students include guided literary tours on the Literary London module and hands-on experience in the operating theatre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) at Stanmore on the module, Nerve Injury Treatment: Medicine, Science and Engineering.

The UCL Summer School is led by the UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE), with the Student Recruitment team in UCL Communications and Marketing (CAM) taking responsibility for marketing and student recruitment.
