New default browser homepages on Desktop@UCL

The intranet provides staff-focused information to help you carry out everyday tasks, as well as improved communication channels to keep you informed of news, events and opportunities to get involved in life at UCL.

In order to make the new intranet as accessible as possible, the staff intranet will be set as the default homepage for staff on managed Desktop @UCL machines. You will be able to override this and choose an alternative default homepage if you wish and staff who currently have a default homepage set by themselves, their faculty or department will experience no change.

At the same time, the default homepage on student computers will change to www.ucl.ac.uk/students in order to provide easier access to and awareness of this key resource for current students.
